# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The contrast between hot crispy bacon and cool crisp lettuce hits every texture craving in one bite
  • Takes twenty minutes from start to finish but tastes like something you would wait hours for at a brunch spot
02 -
  • Draining cooked bacon on paper towels is not optional, that extra grease will destroy your bread texture faster than anything else
  • Never refrigerate tomatoes, they lose all their flavor and become mealy, which defeats the entire purpose of a tomato sandwich
03 -
  • Let your assembled sandwich sit for two minutes before cutting, this brief rest lets all the flavors meld and makes it easier to slice cleanly
  • Use a serrated knife with a gentle sawing motion instead of pressing down hard, which keeps the sandwich from getting squished and losing its beautiful layers
