# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It comes together faster than ordering takeout and tastes twice as good.
  • You can clean out your fridge and still end up with something everyone fights over.
  • The edges get crispy, the cheese gets bubbly, and the BBQ sauce caramelizes just enough to make you scrape the pan.
  • It works as dinner, as a snack, or cut into squares at a party where people pretend they're only having one piece.
02 -
  • If you pile the toppings too high, the bottom stays soft and floppy instead of crisp, so spread everything thin and even.
  • Let the flatbread cool for just a minute before slicing or the cheese will slide off in one gooey sheet and you'll lose half your toppings.
  • Check the flatbread halfway through baking, some ovens run hot and the edges can darken faster than you expect.
03 -
  • Always taste your BBQ sauce before spreading it, some brands are much sweeter or saltier than others and you might want to cut it with a little vinegar or hot sauce.
  • If your flatbreads are thin or soft, toast them alone in the oven for two minutes before adding toppings so they stay sturdy under all that cheese.
  • Don't skip the olive oil brush, it's the difference between crispy and soggy and takes five seconds.
